Vikas Viswambharan

Vikas Viswambharan is a seasoned information technology professional with extensive experience in ICT infrastructure and communications, particularly within the United Nations framework. Currently serving as the Chief of the Information Management, Communications and Technology Section at United Nations ESCAP since May 2019, Vikas has previously held key positions such as Information Technology Consultant and Officer in Charge of the Information Technology Unit at the United Nations. Notable achievements include overseeing ICT services for over 25,000 personnel in challenging environments and managing network operations for the largest UN peacekeeping mission. Vikas began their career as a Network Engineer at ibs software services and later volunteered as a Network Specialist with UN missions. Educational credentials include an MBA from Duke University and a B.Tech in Electronics & Communications from CET, Trivandrum.
