Alice Lixi has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human rights. Alice has served in various roles for different organizations.

Alice started their career at the International Bar Association in 2011 as a Legal Intern. Alice then worked as a Projects Assistant for the Essex Human Rights Alumni Association, and as an Editorial Assistant for the Routledge Handbook on International Human Rights Law Project at the University of Essex.

In 2012, Alice joined the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights as a Litigation Assistant. Alice then worked as an Advocacy Assistant for the FIDH Representation to the EU in 2013. Later in the same year, they became a Researcher and Projects Assistant for the Essex Transitional Justice Network.

In 2014, Alice interned at the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Field Operations and Technical Cooperation Division. The following year, they worked as an Assistant in the Fundraising Desk at FIDH - International Federation for Human Rights.

Alice joined the United Nations Human Rights in 2016 as a Human Rights Officer under the UNV program. Alice was promoted to the position of Associate Human Rights Officer in 2018. Since then, they have been working with the organization in various capacities.

In 2021, Alice took on the role of Head of Sub-Office for Eastern Sudan - Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights, where they are currently serving.

Overall, Alice Lixi has gained significant experience and expertise in the field of human rights through their various roles and internships with different organizations.

Alice Lixi attended the University of Essex from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a focus on Law and Human Rights. Following their undergraduate studies, Alice pursued further education at the University of Essex from 2013 to 2014, obtaining a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
