Human Rights Officer at United Nations Human Rights

Pokpong Lawansiri is an experienced Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since January 2014, with expertise in economic and social rights, particularly in Cambodia. Key roles include coordinating reports for inter-governmental bodies, leading efforts related to adequate living standards and social security, and representing UN Human Rights in governmental and NGO meetings. Prior experience includes serving as Protection Coordinator for Asia at Front Line Defenders, where Pokpong established the organization's presence in the region and provided critical support to at-risk human rights defenders. Earlier roles involved human rights monitoring and training in multiple Southeast Asian countries. Pokpong holds a Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford, among other degrees in law and public policy.
