Therese Arnesen is a seasoned Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since July 2014, focusing on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, as well as Climate Change and Environment. Prior roles included serving as an Associate Human Rights Officer for both the Europe and Central Asia Section and the Universal Periodic Review Branch. Therese gained valuable experience at the Norwegian Refugee Council as an Administrative Officer and Assistant, providing support to the management team and the Human Resources department. Previous internships included positions at Human Rights Watch, UPR Info, Transparency International Italia, and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Rome, coupled with research at Instituto Socioambiental and teaching assistance at UMB. Therese holds a Master's degree in International Development Studies from NMBU and a Bachelor's degree in International Development and Cooperation from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
