Tiago Medeiros Delgado

Tiago Medeiros Delgado is a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since May 2022, responsible for gathering information on human rights situations, preparing field missions, and analyzing national legal compliance with international standards. Prior experience includes serving as a consultant at the Pan American Health Organization, where articulation of communication and analysis of international cooperation opportunities were key responsibilities. Tiago has also worked as a Human Rights Field Officer with Peace Brigades International in Guatemala, a researcher for AIDA focused on the protection of Human Rights Defenders in Latin America, and held several positions that involved policy research and support at various international organizations, including the United Nations OCHA and the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the UN. Tiago holds a Master's degree in Human Rights from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidade Federal da Paraíba.
