Veridiana Mathieu

Veridiana Mathieu serves as an Associate Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights office since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Human Rights Officer and Communications Focal Point at UN-Habitat, Junior Advisor for the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders, and Assistant for the Legal Office at the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture. Veridiana's career also features positions as Project Assistant at the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement, intern at the Commission Nationale Consultative des Droits de l'Homme, intern for the Human Rights Sub-Division at the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie, and International Advisor at the Human Rights Secretariat of the Brazilian Presidency. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the same institution, alongside an exchange year in International Affairs at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, complemented by a strong academic foundation from various international schools.
