Victor Elias

Human Rights Officer at United Nations Human Rights

Victor Elias is an experienced Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since February 2021 and serves as a junior lecturer at the Facultad de Derecho, Universidad de Buenos Aires, teaching courses in Public International Law and the Sources of International Law since August 2017. Previously, Victor held roles as a Legal Assistant at Child Rights Connect and practiced law at the Defensoría del Pueblo de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, focusing on international human rights law, class actions, and legal assistance to vulnerable individuals. In 2014, Victor contributed as a legal assistant at the Comisión Argentina para los Refugiados y Migrantes, engaging in human rights litigation related to migrants and refugees. Victor holds an LL.M. in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute (summa cum laude), a Master's in International Human Rights Law from the University of Buenos Aires, and an Abogado degree from the same institution, alongside various certifications and training in related fields.
