Puneet Kumar Upadhyay

Puneet Kumar Upadhyay, CFA, is an established investment professional with extensive experience in global emerging markets and sustainable investing. Currently serving as an Investment Officer at the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF), Puneet Kumar Upadhyay is responsible for managing over $6 billion in assets through active portfolio management focused on public equities in Asia and the CEMEA regions. Previously, as an Associate Investment Officer, Puneet Kumar Upadhyay led the Sustainable Investing Team, overseeing ESG integration and climate strategy for an $80 billion multi-asset portfolio. Additional experience includes roles at Barclays Investment Bank as Lead Analyst in equities trading and at Credit Suisse as a Senior Analyst in structured products. Puneet Kumar Upadhyay began a career in trading commodities derivatives and has a strong academic foundation with an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a bachelor’s in Instrumentation & Control from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology.
