Anja Nitzsche is an experienced leader in partnerships and resource mobilization with a demonstrated history in global health initiatives. Currently serving as the Chief of the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Branch at United Nations OCHA since March 2021, Anja has previously held significant roles including Head of Resource Mobilization and Strategic Partnerships at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from May 2015 to March 2021, and Chief of Division at UNAIDS from 2004 to 2015. Anja's expertise encompasses strategic engagement with financing mechanisms, project management in health care, and the development of national policies in response to HIV/AIDS and cancer care. Anja holds an MSc in International Health Systems Management from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, along with an M.A. in International Relations and a BA in Journalism.
