Elfrida Hoxholli-Melendez

Elfrida Hoxholli-Melendez Joined OCHA as Chief of Human Resources Section, with Executive Officer in 2017.

Ms. Hoxholli-Melendez brings more than 20 years of Human Resource Management experience in various roles with the UN, at the country, regional and HQs offices. Ms. Hoxholli-Melendez joined OCHA after a series of UN assignments which involved putting into action the UN HR policies and practices, and in various operational settings. She joined the UN and began working in human resources with UNFPA in Albania in 1996. She continued her journey up the human resources path with the UN Development Programme and the UN Capital Development Fund.

An Albanian national, Ms. Hoxholli-Melendez holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a master’s degree in Business Administration.
