Sultan Ahmed

Sultan Ahmed is an experienced Information Management Officer with a strong background in humanitarian data management and coordination. Currently working at the United Nations OCHA since May 2019, Sultan is responsible for drafting and disseminating information products and tools for external use while coordinating an information management working group aligned with IASC guidance. Previous roles include serving as an Information Management Specialist at UNICEF Nigeria and UNICEF Jordan, focusing on data analysis and management for nutrition responses and program assessments. Sultan also held positions at IOM Iraq and the United Nations, where notable achievements include establishing coordinated information systems among multiple partners. Sultan's early career involved project coordination in water, environment, and sanitation, and database administration, contributing to significant initiatives in Pakistan. Sultan holds an MBA focused on Management Information Systems and a Master’s in Computer Science.
