Tim Hermans has extensive experience in logistics and operations, currently serving as Chief of the Logistics sub-unit at the United Nations Office at Geneva since March 2013. Previous positions at the United Nations include Chief a.i. of the Travel and Logistics Unit and Officer-in-charge of the Logistics sub-unit, as well as Chief of Mail Operations. Prior to this, Tim Hermans was a Joint Secretary at the National Security Authority (Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs Belgium) from February 2006 to February 2013 and worked as an Information Consultant at Automobiles Peugeot in early 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Political Sciences from KU Leuven, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences from Katholieke Universiteit Brussel, and additional training at ECSA - Belgian Police College and the Belgian Royal Defence College.
