Secondment – IT Assistant at United Nations Office at Nairobi

Dickson Mukiti has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information technology. Dickson started their career as an Information Technology Intern at Essajee Creations & Designs Ltd, where they gained experience in networking infrastructure, computer hardware repair, user account management, and IT support services for various companies.

Dickson then worked as an ICT Technical Assistant at China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), where they were involved in the installation and delivery of modern railway systems. This included tasks such as server, switch, and router installation, as well as the implementation of railway systems.

After that, Dickson worked as a Network and System Administrator at Amex Autoparts, where they were responsible for managing network and system infrastructure.

Dickson then joined iSON Technologies as a Technical Support Engineer, primarily working at the United Nations Office at Nairobi. In this role, they provided support for UNON standard software and hardware, including Office 365 products, email, cloud services, operating systems, and various devices.

Currently, Dickson is working at the United Nations Office at Nairobi as a Secondment - IT Assistant. Their responsibilities include providing helpdesk support, managing Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, maintaining the organization's intranet platforms, managing cloud-based services, and performing security compliance assessments.

Throughout their career, Dickson has consistently demonstrated their technical skills and ability to provide efficient IT support to organizations.

Dickson Mukiti obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Kabianga, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in December 2021, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in July 2021, Scrum Foundations Professional Certificate SFPC from CertiProf in February 2021, and IT Service Desk: Management Fundamentals from LinkedIn in July 2020, among others.
