Abu Sayed Sumon

Abu Sayed Sumon serves as the National Programme Officer for Gender & Human Rights at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) since August 2017, where responsibilities include managing gender-related projects, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, and policy advocacy. Previous roles include Access to Justice Expert and Manager for Women's Access to Justice at UNDP, where contributions focused on institutional capacity in the justice sector and legal aid initiatives. Earlier experience includes positions as a Human Rights Officer with the United Nations, and extensive work in legal aid at UNDP and Ain O Salish Kendra. Abu Sayed Sumon holds a Master's in Laws (LLM) specializing in Human Rights from Rajshahi University, among other qualifications in international relations and law.
