Chris Hagarty

Reproductive Health Consultant at United Nations Population Fund

Chris Hagarty is an experienced health specialist and consultant with a focus on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) policies across the Pacific region. Currently serving as a Reproductive Health Consultant for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) since July 2023, Chris supports the Republic of Marshall Islands in policy review and development. In addition, involvement as a Health Specialist for Specialist Health Services (DFAT) began in February 2023, contributing to the design of DFAT’s support for Nauru's health sector. Previous roles include Senior Adviser at Cardno International Development, Team Leader for the Asian Development Bank's health project in Kiribati, and Senior Health Adviser in Nauru, among others. Chris holds a Master of Public Health from Monash University and a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours from La Trobe University.
