Diene Keita has a vast experience in public health programs and international cooperation. Currently serving as the Deputy Executive Director for Programmes at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), they aim to achieve programmatic goals such as zero preventable maternal deaths, zero unmet need for family planning, and zero violence against women and girls. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Minister at the Ministry for Cooperation and African Integration in Guinea and as a Country Representative for UNFPA in Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Benin, and Mauritania, where they led multi-million USD public health programs and provided strategic guidance and leadership.
