Dusan Jovanovic

Dusan Jovanovic is an experienced Emergency Response Specialist/Surge Manager at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), where responsibilities include ensuring effective human resource policies and augmenting partnerships for humanitarian crises since October 2022. Prior to this role, Dusan served as Deputy Executive Director at CANADEM from September 2009 to October 2022, managing operational teams and overseeing significant deployment of UN humanitarian experts. Dusan's extensive experience includes roles in recruitment and operational management across various organizations, including UNDP and UNOPS, with a focus on crisis response and humanitarian deployments. Dusan holds a PhD (ABD) in Political Science and Government from Carleton University, alongside multiple degrees in Political Science and Economics.
