Naqib Noory

Naqib Noory is an accomplished security management professional currently serving as the Director of the Office of Security Coordination at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), a position held since 2008. In this role, Naqib Noory acts as the principal adviser on safety and security issues and leads security management policies for a global staff of 4,200 across 136 countries. Previously, Naqib Noory served as the Deputy Security Coordinator at UNFPA and the Deputy Security Adviser at UNDSS, where significant contributions included crisis management and the establishment of security structures in Sudan. Naqib Noory's extensive experience within UN agencies spans roles such as Supervisor at United Nations Peacekeeping, Assistant Field Security Officer at UNDP, and Programme Manager at ACBAR, complemented by early career positions in administration and finance.
