Sofia Cánovas Pereda

Sofia Cánovas Pereda serves as a Senior Advisor to the Head of the United Nations, where responsibilities include advising the Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator and coordinating over 200 Network members in Ukraine. With extensive experience in the United Nations system, Sofia has held key positions related to sexual exploitation and abuse risk mitigation, gender-based violence, and humanitarian assistance across various UN agencies. Notable roles include serving as an Inter-Agency PSEAH Coordinator and Gender-Based Violence Advisor, alongside legal expertise as an International IP & ICT Lawyer. Education credentials include advanced studies in Health in Humanitarian Crises, Global Health Diplomacy, and Gender and Development from prestigious institutions.
