Arun Jacob

Arun Jacob, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Adviser and Programme Manager at the United Nations Climate Action Team within the Executive Office of the Secretary-General. In this role, Arun leads the UN Development Coordination Office's SDG Financing Team, focusing on strengthening advocacy for economic transformations, exploring innovative financing solutions for Sustainable Development Goals, and enhancing collaboration with international financial institutions. Arun has a comprehensive background in economics, having held various positions within the United Nations and other organizations, including as Economist at the UN Resident Coordinator's Office in Egypt and Environmental Affairs Officer at UN ESCAP. Arun's educational credentials include a PhD in Development Economics from the Geneva Graduate Institute and multiple degrees from the University of Cambridge.
