Janet Haven

Janet Haven serves as the Executive Director and Director of Programs and Strategy at Data & Society Research Institute. Janet is also a member of the National AI Advisory Committee with the U.S. Department of Commerce and has been appointed as an AI Expert to the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Body on AI. Additionally, Janet held the position of Associate Director for the Information Program at Open Society Foundations and worked as a Managing Producer at Uproar/Flipside/Vivendi International. Janet's academic background includes degrees from Amherst College and the University of Virginia.
