Muhammad Atiyat, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Data Science at the United Nations, a position held since July 2011, where leadership involves overseeing four cross-functional teams to create a global dashboard that enhances data reporting and alignment with organizational goals. Prior roles at the United Nations include Data Science Manager and Senior Statistician, focusing on project management, research, and team leadership. Muhammad also gained experience as a Statistical Consultant at Penn State University from January 2007 to January 2008. Educational qualifications include a PhD and M.S. in Statistics from Penn State University and a B.S. in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Stony Brook University.
