Rami Sabella Ph.d.

Rami Sabella, Ph.D., PMP®, serves as the First Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) since April 2021. Prior roles include Economist/Consultant at The World Bank, Knowledge Management Consultant at ESCWA, and Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on the economic implications of clean solar energy in the context of the Food, Water, and Energy nexus. Rami has also contributed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at John Cabot University and as a Socio-Economic Researcher with UNDP, specializing in sustainable land management and adaptation to climate change. Rami's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Economics of Climate Change from Università degli Studi di Siena and multiple master's degrees in International Cooperation.
