Guillaume René Bagal

Guillaume René Bagal has a diverse work experience encompassing various roles and responsibilities in the field of diversity and inclusion, policy development, and research. Guillaume René is currently serving as the Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion at UNFI since September 2020. Prior to this, they were the Head of Diversity & Inclusion at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island from June 2018 to August 2020, where they led the company's diversity and inclusion programming and initiatives. Previously, they worked as the Associate Director of Policy at Whitman-Walker Health from March 2016 to June 2018 and as the Director of Policy at The Center for Global Health and Diplomacy from May 2015 to April 2016. Guillaume René also held the position of Senior Associate at Avalere Health from June 2014 to May 2015. Additionally, Guillaume worked as an Associate at Indiggo - Reinventing Strategy Execution for Leaders, where they worked on projects for clients such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, D.C. Public Schools, and Center for Medical Technology Policy from September 2011 to March 2014. Guillaume René also served as a Council Member at the Greenville Human Relations Council in 2010 and worked at the Center for Diversity and Inequality Research at East Carolina University from January 2009 to December 2010.

Guillaume René Bagal has a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree in Executive Healthcare Management & Policy from George Mason University. Guillaume René also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and French Literature from East Carolina University, as well as a Master's degree in Sociology, with a focus on Social Justice and Inequality Research, from the same institution.
