David Waters

First Vice President at UNITED NEEDS AND ABILITIES INC

David Waters was raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in Pocomoke City. He currently resides in Salisbury, MD with his wife Emily. David first became involved with United Needs & Abilities in the early 1980's playing in tennis tournament fundraisers held by the agency. David has worked with individuals from preschool (HeadStart) to senior citizens (Day Care for the Elderly) along with a 29-year career in corrections, retiring in 2010; the last 19 years in case management. Looking for community service opportunities, David joined the Board of Directors in 1997. Retirement has given David more time to spend with family and friends, as well as his interests in tennis, music, and travel. David brings a passion for quality of life for the people they serve and the staff to the board.
