Jon Bowden

Jon Bowden is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as the Head of Core Banking at United Overseas Bank Limited since July 2020, Jon previously held various senior positions at HSBC Private Banking, including GPB IT Head of Core Banking Engineering and Head of Banking Platform, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing application development and leading the Global Platform Replacement programme. Prior experience includes roles at Republic National Bank as Systems Manager, where involvement in the global rollout of an integrated banking application took place, as well as positions at Freemans, Lloyds Bank International, and other organizations. Jon began a career in technology with a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire, further honing skills through early roles as a trainee software engineer and programmer across multiple firms.
