Allen Cone

Allen Cone is an experienced editor and writer with a diverse background in journalism and digital content production. Since April 2016, Allen has worked as a freelance editor/writer for United Press International, producing articles from original sources and attaching relevant multimedia elements. Prior to this, Allen served as a digital content producer and assignment editor for WPTV from July 2019 to May 2024, and as an assignment editor for WPBF-TV from May 2018 to July 2019. Allen has held several editing roles, including news copy editor/proofreader with Cox Media Group and freelance copy editing positions with LAKANA and Demand Media. Additional experience includes working as a sports copy editor for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and as a sports editor for the East Valley Tribune and Macon Telegraph. Allen holds a degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
