Marc Elig

Marc Elig is a safety management professional with extensive experience in environmental, health, and safety programs across various sectors. Currently serving as the Southeastern Division Safety Manager at United Rentals since May 2012, Marc manages safety programs for over 5,000 employees across 12 states and Puerto Rico. Previous roles include Regional Safety Director at United Rentals, where responsibilities encompassed health, safety, environmental, training, and transportation programs in the Southeastern States, and Director of Regional Safety at RSC Equipment Rental from 2006 to 2012. Marc's military background includes serving as a Safety Officer and Helicopter Pilot in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 2006, managing comprehensive safety and environmental programs for multiple army units, and achieving a 100% accident-free record during a tour in Europe. Education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University, obtained between 1979 and 1982.
