Steve Rider

Steve began his presenting career with ITV Sport providing reports for the World of Sport programme, and reporting from the 1980 Summer Olympics.

He also worked on golf coverage for Channel 4 before moving to BBC Sport to present several high profile sports programmes including Grandstand and BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

Steve later returned to ITV and became their main football anchor until 2010 before moving to Sky.

Steve has twice won the Royal Television Society’s ‘Sports Presenter of the Year’ award, as well as a BAFTA TV award for ITVs coverage of the 2008 F1 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Steve came to visit some of our services after meeting former United Response CEO, Su Sayer CBE, at the 2000 Charity Awards.
