Natalie Barnhard has extensive work experience in the field of physical therapy and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Natalie founded and served as the President of the WNY Chapter of the United Spinal Association in 2012. In 2002, Natalie worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant at WNY Orthopedic & Spine, gaining valuable experience before leaving to focus on studying for their massage therapy state board exam. In 2004, they joined Amherst Orthopedic Physical Therapy, PC as a Physical Therapist Assistant for a brief period. Currently, Natalie is the Founder and President of the Motion Project Foundation, Inc., which provides support, healing, and independence to individuals with spinal cord injuries. The foundation offers state-of-the-art equipment, highly trained therapists, research, advocacy, and care navigation.

Natalie Barnhard has a diverse education history. Natalie attended Trocaire College from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Massage Therapy/Therapeutic Massage. Before that, from 1999 to 2002, they studied at Villa Maria College, earning an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Technician/Assistant. Natalie also attended Canisius University from 1998 to 1999, where they pursued General Studies. Additionally, Natalie has obtained certifications in their field. In 2004, they became a Licensed Massage Therapist through the New York State Education Department. Prior to that, in 2002, they obtained a certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the same institution.
