Susan Collins

Team Lead, Malware Analyst at United States Cyber Command

Susan Collins has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and computer sciences. Susan currently holds the position of Team Lead, Malware Analyst at the United States Cyber Command, a role they have held since June 2018. Prior to this, they worked as an Instructor in the Department of Computer and Cyber Sciences at the United States Air Force Academy from March 2015 to June 2018. From October 2017 to April 2018, Susan served as a Communication Integrator and Action Officer at USCENTCOM.

During their time in the United States Air Force, Susan held multiple roles. From January 2012 to August 2013, they served as Chief, Weapons and Tactics. Susan also worked as a Crew Commander, Network Operations from January 2011 to January 2012, and as a Cyber Analyst from January 2010 to August 2011.

Susan Collins has a strong educational background in computer science and data mining. In 2005, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma. Following that, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master's of Science degree in Computer Science at Northeastern University. During the same period, they also worked as a Research Fellow at Draper Research Labs, specializing in the fields of datamining and social sciences. In terms of additional certifications, Susan Collins has achieved the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) in October 2011, the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) in December 2011, and the GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) certification in November 2018.
