Carter Farmer

Carter Farmer is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in systems administration and IT management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of IT Systems and Solutions at the United States Institute of Peace since February 2018, Carter previously held roles such as Systems Administration Manager and Lead Technologist at Amtrak, where project revitalization efforts saved significant costs and improved project timelines. Prior experience includes leadership roles in engineering and help desk operations at Telarix and DISYS, where Carter successfully managed various teams and implemented process improvements. Carter holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of the People and dual Bachelor's degrees in Information Systems and Computer Science from Radford University, along with a strong foundational education in Mathematics and Computer Science.
