Kathleen Kuehnast

Kathleen Kuehnast is a senior social scientist and long-term consultant at The World Bank, as well as the Director of Women, Peace and Security at the United States Institute of Peace since January 2008. Over the course of their career at the United States Institute of Peace, Kathleen has held several directorial roles, including Director of Gender and Peacebuilding and Director of Gender Policy and Strategy. Kathleen's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from the University of Minnesota and a Master's degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas.
