Lourd Hanna is a seasoned professional in civil society initiatives and conflict resolution, currently serving as the Head of Civil Society Initiatives at the International Commission on Missing Persons since September 2020. In addition to this role, Lourd is a Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge and has been a Fellow for the Generation Change Youth Leaders' Exchange with Lourd's Holiness the Dalai Lama at the United States Institute of Peace since November 2017. Lourd's previous experience includes serving as a Project Officer at Catholic Relief Services, co-founding the Middle East Sustainable Peace Organization, and working as an Administrative Coordinator at the United States Institute of Peace. Lourd is also an alumnus of the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program through the U.S. Department of State. Lourd holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology from Hawler Medical University, earned between 2014 and 2017.
