Joel Chalmers

Joel Chalmers currently serves as the Director of Academic Affairs at the National Security Space Institute since June 2024 and is a Space Force Officer with the United States Space Force since June 2020. Previous roles include Operations Officer at the 23d Space Operations Squadron and Air Officer Commanding at Cadet Squadron 04, United States Air Force Academy. Chalmers' extensive experience in the United States Air Force includes various leadership positions, such as Director of Wing Inspections and Flight Commander for multiple squadrons, where responsibilities included managing personnel and ensuring operational proficiency in satellite operations and training programs. Chalmers holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and Leadership from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and a Master of Science in Space Studies from the American Public University System, along with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
