Kathleen Nekola

Kathleen Nekola is an accomplished communications and strategy professional with extensive experience in corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change management. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Strategy at United States Steel Corporation, Kathleen is responsible for establishing internal communications strategies, enhancing associate engagement, and leading community stakeholder engagement. Previously, as Vice President of Global Corporate Communications at Quest Global, Kathleen focused on corporate brand enhancement and employee engagement. Kathleen's earlier roles included senior leadership positions at BlueTriton Brands and Altria Corporate Services, where strategic planning and employee communications were paramount. Kathleen co-founded FUNKtion Strategic Planning & Event Management, contributing to the growth of non-profit organizations. Educated at Pace University and SUNY Oneonta, Kathleen holds an MBA in Marketing Management and International Business, as well as a B.S. in Business Economics.
