Sjon Mulder

Sjon Mulder is an experienced professional in the biotechnology and medical device industries, currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Bioengineered Organ Operations at United Therapeutics Corporation since August 2025. Prior to this role, Sjon held several significant positions at AstraZeneca from December 2021 to August 2025, including Head of Technical Operations Cell Therapy and Senior Director of New Modalities and Technology. Sjon's expertise includes leading the MSAT organization and overseeing business development, capital projects, and technical support. Earlier in Sjon's career, leadership roles were held at Mentor Worldwide LLC, focusing on the development of production lines for silicone implants, and at Johnson & Johnson, where Sjon led technology transfer and process validation initiatives in Mexico and implemented process improvements through Six-Sigma methodology. Sjon holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and Technology Management from Hanze.
