Rachael Upton

Rachael Upton is an experienced professional in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the Director of Volunteer Engagement at United Way of Central Alabama since July 2021. In addition to this role, Rachael holds a position on the Board of Trustees at Terrific New Theatre starting in February 2024 and previously worked as the Company Manager and Development Manager at Red Mountain Theatre Company from February 2019 to July 2021. Rachael's career began as a caseworker for the State of Alabama DHR from January 2014 to February 2019, following a period as a contract employee in various roles as an actor, director, and playwright from 2008 to 2014. Rachael earned a Master of Science in Nonprofit Administration from LSU Shreveport (July 2022 - July 2023) and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from LaGrange College (2004 - 2008).
