Julie Plake

Julie Plake is an experienced community engagement professional currently serving as the Manager of Community Engagement Immersive Learning at United Way of Central Indiana, where Julie manages the Leadership United initiative focused on comprehensive community leadership and board member development. Prior roles include Executive Project and Employee Engagement Coordinator at freije Engineered Solutions Company, where Julie developed an Employee Engagement Program, and Program Manager at Teachers' Treasures, overseeing outreach for teachers. Julie has also held positions as Development Director at Fountains of Hope International and Director of Corporate and Community Engagement at ProAct Indy, emphasizing collaboration among schools, corporations, and nonprofits. Earlier experience includes serving as Life Groups Coordinator at Northview Church and Director of Volunteers and Resource Management at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc., where Julie initiated large-scale volunteer projects. Julie holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology/History from Indiana University Bloomington and additional qualifications in volunteer program management and horticulture.
