Susan Kloewer

Susan Kloewer, CFRE, currently serves as the Chief Advancement Officer at United Way of Central Iowa since December 2023. Susan has extensive experience in cultural affairs and fundraising, having worked as the Administrator for the State Historical Society of Iowa from November 2011 to November 2023, where leadership included overseeing staff, budget management, and educational programming. Prior roles include Director of Development at the Science Center of Iowa, with a focus on annual fundraising efforts, and various positions in development and membership coordination. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Iowa State University and a Master of Public Administration from Drake University, along with a Certified Fundraising Executive accreditation from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
