Marlin Wilson serves as the Interim Director of Community Initiatives at the United Way of Greater Charlotte since August 2021, overseeing a team that includes two full-time staff members and four AmeriCorps members. Previous roles include Neighborhood Relationships Manager and Resource Development Specialist at the same organization, as well as Administrative Housing Specialist at The Foundation of Rural Housing, where efforts led to the distribution of over $180,000 to Wisconsin residents impacted by COVID-19. Marlin's experience also includes a summer internship in Senator Tammy Baldwin's office, focusing on legislative research and constituent services, and serving as a Human Resources Specialist in the US Army, where expertise in technical writing and policy development was gained. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University.
