Glenn Carson

Glenn Carson has extensive work experience in various organizations. Glenn currently serves as the Director of the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership at the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, where they lead strategic planning, fundraising, and sustainability efforts. Glenn is responsible for managing the partnership budget and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations. Before this role, Glenn worked as the Senior Director of Teen Programming at the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee.

Prior to their time at the YMCA, Glenn held multiple positions at the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County. Glenn served as the Community Schools K8 Manager, overseeing daily operations and managing a team of Community Schools Coordinators. Glenn also worked as a Lead K8 Community School Coordinator, supporting and coaching other Coordinators and collaborating with district leadership to improve the Milwaukee Community Schools Partnership. Earlier in their career, Glenn worked as a Community School Coordinator at the Hopkins Lloyd Community School.

Glenn's experience also includes roles at City Year, where they served as a Team Leader leading a group of corps members at James Madison Academic Campus. Glenn provided support, conducted observations, and facilitated professional development sessions. Glenn started their journey at City Year as a Corps Member, working as a mentor, role model, and tutor in high-need Milwaukee Public Schools.

Glenn's early career included positions at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. Glenn worked as a Program Coordinator for Upward Bound, Pre-College Program, overseeing student activities and supervising team leaders. Glenn also served as an Entertainment Intern, organizing events on campus.

Glenn Carson has a diverse education history. Glenn obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University-Wisconsin from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Sociology with an Emphasis in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater between 2008 and 2013. In addition to their formal education, Glenn Carson also obtained a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from eCornell in September 2020.
