Carolyn Cunningham is an experienced nonprofit leader with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Manager of Planning and Special Initiatives at the United Way of King County since April 1998, Carolyn develops and manages nonprofit capacity-building initiatives, oversees a grant portfolio ranging from $5,000 to $200,000, designs strategies to enhance volunteerism, and manages a leadership training series for nonprofit board members. Previously, as Membership and Volunteer Engagement Manager at the King County Literacy Coalition, Carolyn created and expanded the infrastructure for literacy support and coordinated advocacy efforts among member organizations. Carolyn's international experience includes serving as the Coordinator for Economic Development for Women with the Peace Corps in Bolivia, where a micro-credit program for women was implemented. Carolyn holds a Master's degree in International and Cross-Cultural Management from the School for International Training and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The College of Wooster.
