Pamela Velazquez

Pamela Velazquez has a diverse work experience. Pamela is currently working at the United Way of Santa Cruz County (CA) as a Senior Community Impact Manager, where they began in December 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Community Impact Coordinator at the same organization starting from August 2021.

Before joining the United Way, Pamela worked at Ceiba, where they held multiple roles. Pamela was a Grade Level Coordinator & Instructional Support from July 2020 to August 2021. Pamela also served as a Leadership Development Coordinator from June 2019 to July 2020. Additionally, Pamela founded the Young Men of Color Mentorship Program and led it from June 2017 to August 2019. Furthermore, during their time at Ceiba, they worked as an Instructional and Administrative Support Intern from June 2016 to September 2018.

Pamela also has experience with the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), where they worked as a Lead Peer Mentor from August 2019 to July 2020.

Pamela Velazquez attended UC Santa Barbara from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Sociology and Chicano Studies, with a focus on Sociology. In addition to their academic qualifications, Pamela also obtained a certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid from MHFA in October 2022. Pamela also has a certification in Mandated Reporter General Training, but the details of its institution and the exact date of obtaining are not provided.
