Devoe Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Devoe started their career in the financial industry as an Investment Consultant at First Investors Corporation from 1984 to 1986. Devoe then moved on to United Way of Summit County, where they worked as a Planning & Allocations Associate from 1986 to 1991, focusing on training volunteers, soliciting contributions, and maintaining a database system. Devoe continued their work at United Way of Summit County as a Campaign Division Director from 1991 to 1994, leading fundraising efforts and training volunteers. Johnson then joined United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley as the Director of Planning and Fund Distribution from 1994 to 1999, where they planned and implemented community planning and fund distribution processes. Finally, they returned to United Way of Summit & Medina in 1999 and held various roles, including Senior Director Community Impact and Senior Director Community Development, until at least 2016. In these positions, they focused on community engagement, data analysis, and building collaborative efforts to address community needs.
Devoe Johnson pursued their education at The Ohio State University from 1974 to 1979. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and Finance.
