Tanya Kahl

Vice President, Community Impact at United Way of Summit & Medina

Tanya Kahl has extensive work experience in various roles related to community impact and healthcare. Tanya most recently worked at the United Way of Summit & Medina as the Associate Vice President, Community Impact, where they developed and executed initiatives within the Community Impact Department. Tanya also served as the Director of 2-1-1, overseeing a helpline that responds to requests for help in Summit and Lorain Counties.

Prior to their role at the United Way, Tanya worked at Info Line, where they held multiple positions including Interim President/CEO, Vice President of Strategy and Development, and Manager of 211 and MedAssist. In these roles, they provided strategic direction to Info Line's programs and oversaw the implementation of contracts and grants.

Tanya's earlier experience includes working as the Manager of Access to Care at Info Line and as the Director of the Health Access Project at Community Health Centers, Inc. Tanya also gained experience in grant writing and community health development while working at the Association for Utah Community Health.

Tanya started their career as an Organizer at the Universal Health Care Action Network of Ohio and the B.R.E.A.D. Organization. Tanya also served as an intern at the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, working as a legislative aide.

Tanya Kahl obtained a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from The Ohio State University in the period of 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration at Kent State University from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified Resource Specialist (AIRS), but no further details regarding the institution or the period in which it was obtained are provided.
