Kacy Bartels is currently serving as a Grant Manager at the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona since March 2024 and also works as a Contractor for the Pima County Food Alliance since June 2023. Previously, Kacy gained experience as a Food Assistance Policy Intern at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona, contributing to food systems research. Kacy has held various program specialist roles, including managing rental assistance escalations in the Emergency Eviction Legal Services Program at Pima County. Earlier experience includes serving as a Volunteer Services Coordinator with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona through AmeriCorps VISTA and working as a Youth Development Specialist with the Peace Corps. Kacy holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
