Mary Snider serves as a Councilmember for the Town of Oro Valley since January 2005, holding the position of Vice Mayor in 2011. As a proactive community leader, Mary founded the Youth Advisory Council to the Mayor and Council and has been an Advisory Board Member for several organizations, including the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority, United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, Amphi Foundation, and the Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding. Additionally, Mary founded Project Graduation-Ironwood Ridge High School, demonstrating a commitment to education and community involvement. Mary’s contributions have been recognized at the state level, having been appointed by Governor Napolitano and reappointed by Governor Brewer to the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority. Mary pursued education at Portland State University and Mt. Hood Community College.
