Valerie Sawtelle

Valerie Sawtelle, MPA, has extensive experience in people development, project management, and community engagement. Currently serving as the Manager of People Development at United Way Worldwide, Valerie oversees training and leadership programming for a network of 1,100 local United Ways, focusing on professional development and policy compliance. Previously, Valerie held various roles at United Way Worldwide, including Lead Associate for People Strategies and Talent Management, and Learning Logistics Coordinator. Additional experience includes management positions in the hospitality sector, community engagement coordination at Mayo Clinic Health System, and regulatory filing at Kaplan Professional. Valerie holds a Master of Public Administration from Kaplan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Sociology, and French from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
