Samar Upadhyay

Samar Upadhyay is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at UnitedHealth Group since March 2017, Samar has held progressive roles including Senior Manager and Lead Software Engineer, focusing on public cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, along with a strong emphasis on migration to serverless architectures. Previous positions include Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Infor, where Samar contributed to the Infor Process Automation tool, and roles at Securian Financial Group and James Tower, providing foundational experience in J2EE applications and web services. Samar holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Metro State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Southwest Minnesota State University.
